Great day yestertady at Wageningen during the second day of the indoor season. Great improvement in the results: 2 lost and 3 won!
WOW
I was out for injury but I was really willing to play. Anyway I was there as a official cheerleader (but I miserably failed to wear my miniskirt) or as coach (but I was too silent). As a matter of facts I was taken as official photographer and tried to document the day with 4 different cameras! I got quite confused, I must say.
Anyway the results of the first digital roll (we have 3 analog rolls still to develop) is here.

Spirit of the game
Many times we hear about it, and some times it seems not to be there. From UPA:
Ultimate relies upon a spirit of sportsmanship which places the responsibility for fair play on the player. Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of mutual respect between players, adherence to the agreed upon rules of the game, or the basic joy of play. Protection of these vital elements serves to eliminate adverse conduct from the Ultimate field. Such actions as taunting of opposing players, dangerous aggression, belligerent intimidation, intentional fouling, or other 'win at all costs' behavior are contrary to the Spirit of the Game and must be avoided by all players."

Practice Tuesday 5 December (St. Nicolas)
This Tuesday will be the celebration of St. Nicolas, the most exciting day of the year for all naughty and nice Dutch boys and girls.
Most likely, this will mean that practice is off this Tuesday. However, should enough people rather play 'bee than waiting for our favourite saint to come by, post a comment on this blog saying you'll be there (you need a google-account to post comments).
Practice is on in case of six positive reactions or more.

First day of Dutch Indoor Competition
On Sunday November 26, PANIC played its first day of indoor competition. For most of the players, it was the first day of indoor ever. Great fun and a great learning experience! Unfortunately, we lost 2 of our players in the first 2 games due to injuries. We hope to see Edo and Johannes back in the game soon! But we found a new talent in Marc who was invited on the spot to replace our injured team mates - not a bad start!
The day started against the well prepared Crunch 4. They played a smooth, connected game, while PANICers were still getting used to playing together. Result: A great defeat for PANIC. For the next game, however, against Gronical Dizziness 5, PANIC was warm and playing as a team. This was a tight game, with both teams fighting hard until the end - and finishing with equal points! YES!!! In the third game, the sporty kids of Vellesan Speedy's 3, gave PANIC a tough game and carried home the victory. PANIC had lost a bit of focus, which was brought back in the 4th game against WAF 3. Again a very tight and fun game, also ending with a draw. In the last game, PANIC was a bit tired, as opposed to the Vellesan Speedy's 2 who fought until the end and won by one point.
All in all it was a great day. Now we know our weaker sides and what to work on for the next two weeks. And we know our strength in the PANIC spirit: Dooooon't PANIC!!!

Ultimate Frisbee Practice
A weekly practice takes place at the Universitair Sportcentrum
| When | Tuedays |
| Where | Outer football fields |
| What time | 19:00 to 21:00 |
All you need is a Sportcard and a lot of will to run and have fun. If you do not have a sportscard you can buy one (for 100 Eu/year) going to the Sportcentrum reception and saying that you are with the frisbee team.
We hopefully see you there.
If once per week is not enough, there is also a less formal (and populated) practice on fridays, same place, same hours.
